Fernando turns over sea ambulance to coastal hospital
BULACAN Gov. Daniel Fernando officially turned over a sea ambulance to the Felix T. Reyes Extension Hospital, the only hospital located in the coastal area of Barangay Pamarawan in the City of Malolos, on Monday, January 16.
Fernando said that the new sea ambulance, the first of its kind in Central Luzon, will be pivotal in addressing medical emergency situations in coastal communities.
"Felix T. Reyes Extension Hospital is the only hospital in the coastal areas of the City of Malolos managed by the PGB and it is essential that the said hospital is equipped with the medical equipment and facilities to cure ailing Bulakenyos," Fernando said.
Emergency medical assistance and services of the sea ambulance will be available 24/7 to the residents of Barangay Pamarawan and its nearby villages, including Caliligawan, Namayan, Masile, Babatnin, Lantad, Masukol and Pugad.
The ambulance boat, which was bought by the provincial government for P8 million, has one medical bed, a portable stretcher, a cabinet and other fundamentals. It measures 32 feet in length, can go up to 20-30 knots and can carry six to eight people.
